Hey there it’s me Kara, I thought I would jump on here & do some fun facts about me & how I got to where I am now. I started my career at 17 doing a diploma of beauty therapy, learning about the skin & the importance of skincare (this helps with my skin prep for makeup). I also learnt basic makeup here along with massage & how to relax my brides using aromatherapy. After completing this I moved onto my apprenticeship in hairdressing, learning all aspects of hair helps me educate my brides on how to create the best hairstyle & shape the hair to suit their face shape. Moving on to my next diploma of cinemagraphic makeup at @aacm_au in Brisbane. This course is where I started my business with the teachers support on how to run a business & freelance in the industry. Here I learnt just to name a few: Prosthetic workshop, face casting, moulding , Prop/SFX items construction, Airbrush techniques, Special effects makeup, Wig and prosthetic application Colour combination and skin tone management, Bridal/ Beauty/ Editorial Makeup. This year I have re branded my business & decided to specialise in weddings, where my passion lies to go on a beautiful journey with my brides & have the love flow around me. This is a beautiful industry to be in where all wedding creatives come together and collaborate & help each other out!! I’m so blessed to be here, I’m so grateful I have over 30 weddings booked for 2025 & April full for 2026!!
