Hey, I'm Kara — the face behind Dreamy Looks!

I specialise in luxury bridal hair and makeup for brides who want more than just a beautiful look — they want a calm, supported, unforgettable wedding morning.

My approach is all about setting the tone for the day. From the moment I arrive, I focus on creating a grounded, relaxed space filled with gentle energy, glowing skin, and hair and makeup that feels elevated, timeless, and completely you. Good vibes are not a bonus here — they’re part of the service.

My journey began at 17 with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, where I fell in love with skincare, relaxation techniques, and the importance of thoughtful skin preparation. That foundation naturally led me into hairdressing, where I learned how to shape, style, and work with hair in a way that complements each individual face and personal style.

I later completed a Diploma in Cinemagraphic Makeup at AACM in Brisbane, where I launched my business and gained hands-on experience across bridal, airbrush, editorial, and creative makeup. While that training gave me strong technical skills, it was working closely with brides that truly shaped the artist I am today.

In 2025, I intentionally rebranded Dreamy Looks to focus solely on weddings. Bridal work is where my heart is — supporting women during one of the most meaningful days of their lives, not just through how they look, but through how they feel.

My work is skin-focused, soft, and refined, and my process is calm and considered. I incorporate grounding practices such as aromatherapy, gentle pacing, and reassuring presence to help regulate the nervous system and shift the body out of rush mode and into enjoyment. This calm carries through into posture, facial expression, photos, and the way the day is remembered.

I’m an award-recognised bridal hair and makeup artist, proudly servicing the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and surrounding regions. I also specialise in destination weddings Australia-wide and internationally. I’ve worked across Australia, the USA and Asia, and will be working throughout Europe in June and July 2027 — bringing the same level of care, organisation, and calm wherever your wedding takes place.
