Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book my bridal hair and makeup?

We recommend booking at least 9-18 months in advance, especially for peak wedding seasons (spring/autumn).

Do you offer trials? Are they required?

Yes, we offer bridal trials and highly recommend them. It’s a great way to try different looks and ensure you're 100% confident for your big day. They are not required so don’t feel pressured.

Can I book a trial before locking in my date?

Absolutely — trials can be booked before you officially secure your wedding date, however the date itself isn’t held until your deposit and contract are received. That means booking early for a trial can sometimes affect your ability to secure your wedding day, so I always recommend locking in the date first where possible.

What happens at a bridal hair and makeup trial?

A bridal trial is our chance to slow things down and really get to know each other. We’ll chat through your vision, your wedding day plans, and the overall vibe you’re drawn to. Together we’ll bring your inspiration to life and see how it actually feels on you — from the look itself to how confident and comfortable you feel wearing it. It’s a relaxed, supportive space to refine, adjust, and make sure everything feels like you before the big day. We’ll discuss your vision, skin type, hair texture, and try out different styles. Please bring inspiration photos, and ideally wear a white or light-colored top to simulate your wedding dress. If you are having a spray tan for your wedding please get one for your trial too a few days prior, this would also be a great way to do a trial spray tan.

How long does the trial take?

Expect the trial to last 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on whether you’re doing both hair and makeup.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes, absolutely. I offer both Australian and international destination wedding services. Destination bookings are customised depending on location, dates, and services required. Travel, accommodation, and logistics are discussed transparently so everything feels clear and stress free.

Do you bring additional artists for larger bridal parties?

Yes. For larger bookings, I bring trusted artists who work closely with me and align with my style, standards, and calm approach. I still oversee the morning and personally look after the bride, ensuring everything runs smoothly and feels cohesive.

Will I meet the assisting artists before the wedding day?

In most cases, assisting artists join on the wedding morning. Rest assured, I only work with artists I trust completely, who share the same professionalism, energy, and attention to detail. You’ll be well looked after.

What if I don’t wear much makeup?

That’s perfectly okay. My approach is very skin focused and natural. We’ll create something that still feels like you, just elevated, polished, and wedding ready.

How do you help keep the wedding morning calm?

My role goes beyond hair and makeup. From the moment I arrive, I focus on creating a grounded, calm space. Gentle pacing, reassurance, and nervous system support are all part of how I help set the tone for the day.

How do I secure my wedding date?

To officially secure your date, a 50% deposit and signed contract are required. If you’re still finalising details, I’m always happy to pencil your date in for a short time.

Can you help with timelines and the morning run sheet?

Yes. Once I have your final timings and photographer details, I create my own beauty timeline to ensure the morning flows smoothly and everyone feels relaxed and on track.

How long does hair and makeup take on the wedding day?

Bridal hair and makeup typically takes about 45–60 minutes per service, depending on style and extensions. Once your photographer start time is confirmed, I create a calm, personalised timeline so everyone is ready without rushing.

Can I show you inspiration photos?

Yes — I love inspiration photos and they help us create your perfect look. Bridal hair and makeup can look different on every person, so we use them as a guide while adapting to your features, hair texture and overall vibe.

Do you offer services for bridesmaids, mums, flower girls or guests?

Yes — I cater to the whole bridal party. Pricing and timing varies depending on whether it’s hair and makeup or single services like hair only or makeup only. I’m happy to discuss options and include details in your quote.

What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?

I use professional products that are long-lasting and gentle, and I’m always happy to work with you around sensitive skin or product preferences. If needed, we can refine this in your trial so you feel completely confident.

What areas do you service?

I’m based on the Gold Coast and regularly service Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay and surrounding regions. I also specialise in destination weddings Australia-wide and internationally, travelling to wherever your wedding takes place.

Have you worked on destination weddings before?

Yes. I regularly travel for destination weddings and am experienced working across different locations, climates and timelines. My approach remains the same wherever your wedding takes place — calm, organised and deeply supportive. I’ve worked across Australia, the USA and Asia, and will be working throughout Europe in June and July 2027.

Can you recommend or bring assisting artists for larger destination weddings?

Yes. For larger bookings, I can bring trusted assisting artists who align with my style and standards. I personally oversee the morning and look after the bride to ensure a seamless, luxury experience.
